Active for Animals is an Auckland-based speakers programme for students from years 2 to 6.
It is a free programme involving speakers visiting schools to initiate thought, discussion and caring for the animals with whom we share this planet.
Experienced speakers are available to give presentations about animals in Auckland primary schools. Teachers find that the sessions we run are an enjoyable way to satisfy requirements of the school curriculum.
Our aim is to help young people develop appreciation, understanding and respect for all animals and we do this in a way that informs and engages children.
We deliver talks to children in Years 1 to 6 and adapt our presentations to suit your teaching programme and the ability of the children.
Our sessions involve hands-on activities, which allow all children to express their views and we deal with the issues in a sensitive way. We generally include a 10 minute video specifically designed for primary aged children.
